Reston-based MetroStar Systems adds another laurel to its growing portfolio of recognition as the IT services company has been included in IDG’s Computerworld 2017 Best Places to Work in IT.
“We’ve always understood that human capital is our most crucial asset,” says MetroStar CEO and Co-founder Ali Reza Manouchehri. “It’s the people in our organization that make it happen, and maintaining this environment is more important in our strategy. It’s great to be recognized for the work we do, but it’s an incredible feat to be recognized for how we work as a team.”
Computerworld, IDG’s technology media brand, releases an annual ranking of the top 100 IT organizations that pride themselves in an outstanding work environment and corporate culture. The ranking is determined based on the answers to a comprehensive questionnaire for IT professionals about their company’s offerings, including benefits, career development, training, and retention.
“The organizations on this year’s Best Places to Work in IT list excel at creating a dynamic and satisfying IT work environment,” says Ken Mingis, executive editor of Computerworld. “In a competitive market for tech talent, these outstanding employers are able to attract highly skilled IT pros by offering great benefits, new learning opportunities, access to cutting-edge technologies and challenging, business-critical projects.”
MetroStar’s Vice President of Human Resources Kelsey White comments, “I’m honored to work alongside this talented workforce. It makes me proud that MetroStar’s efforts towards competitive benefits, impactful career development, and effective retention are being recognized. The fact that the ranking process for this award incorporates workforce feedback makes this win much more meaningful.”
The 2017 Best Places to Work in IT list appears in the latest digital edition of Computerworld.
