Custom Applications to Promote Peace and Diplomacy

The State Department’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) promotes understanding between the U.S. and foreign countries through educational and cultural exchanges. Undertaking a global mission of peace requires large-scale custom application development, analysis and support; ECA needed to develop custom applications that would reach hundreds of users worldwide and support its mission.

MetroStar provides custom applications and solutions for the ECA, supporting program management, grants, and budget divisions of the Executive Office, as well as the Fulbright Academic Exchanges Program.

We develop custom applications and implement customer support processes for all ECA apps and track help requests to produce monthly management reports tailored for the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. Our work has resulted in fully-supported custom applications for DOS, modernized services for all app users, and a significant reduction in help requests. In 2017, we received a Certificate of Appreciation from the ECA for the work we’ve done developing and supporting the budget management application.
