MetroStar Systems is more than a leading technology company. Our passionate and fearless innovators carry a passion for our people and an innate responsibility to give back to the communities that have given us so much. Our Collaborative Action of Responsible Employees (CARES) program represents our commitment to philanthropy and maintaining our connection to communities. We believe that to power change in the technology industry, we must also empower those around us.
“MetroStar was born during a time of great change, which strengthened our roots of resilience and innovation. Our ability to thrive in the face of adversity has shaped who we are today. CARES represents our commitment to giving back and maintaining the connection to the communities that have given us so much.”
– Ali Reza Manouchehri, Chief Executive Officer & Co-Founder
Our Focus Areas
Through CARES, MetroStar supports charities that represent our core virtues, resonate with our employees, and align with our customers. CARES is organized around three primary groups:
We strive to build a better tomorrow through strategic investments and partnerships. Donating to non-profits that push for greater health and wellness in our communities is something we are passionate about.
We are proud to partner with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) to raise money for their annual ‘Light The Night’ event. Funds collected help the LLS complete cutting-edge cancer research and provide support to those battling cancer.
We hope to inspire the next generation of technologists, entrepreneurs, and artists. Working with universities and educational nonprofits helps MetroStar ensure we are sharing our skills and resources with those who want to grow.
We partner with educational institutions like George Mason University (Go Patriots!) and Indiana University to create meaningful internship programs, develop coursework, facilitate networking/shadowing opportunities, and host events like hackathons.
We constantly thank the everyday heroes and veteran communities for their sacrifices. We are dedicated to backing missions that support not only the military, but our essential workers too.
Our employees volunteer for ‘wear blue: run to remember’ events. These running events honor the service and sacrifice of the American military.
Our Commitment to Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging at MetroStar Systems
As an organization, MetroStar pushes to have a welcoming atmosphere. We are continually fostering an environment that is diverse, inclusive, and creates a sense of belonging among our team.
Our Guiding Principles
At the heart of MetroStar is our mission: “A Passion for Our People. Value for Our Customers.” This sense of purpose and the desire to bridge people together with technology is at the heart of CARES.
To ensure CARES is sustainable and valuable, we have developed three guiding principles:
Working with partners, organizations, and nonprofits that share our core values and align with our culture
Ensuring employees have the time and bandwidth to support CARES initiatives in a meaningful and fruitful way
Understanding that our vision is only as strong as our execution and that our success enables the success of others
