MetroStar Systems Expands Leadership Team in 2010
Executives Drive Continued Growth in Civilian, Military, and New Media Sectors

Reston, Va. – April 20, 2010 – MetroStar Systems, a leader in full-service information technology (IT) and strategies for new media and social networks, today announced it has expanded its executive team in its civilian, military, and new media divisions. The new leadership team includes, Joanne Gladden, Vice President of Capture Management; Derek Reinhard, Program and Operations Manager; Jenny Holbert, Director of Business Development, U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) and U.S. Navy; and Sean McDonald, Director of New Media Business Development.

Gladden focuses on identifying and qualifying new business targets and recapturing existing business by positioning MetroStar in the market. She holds a BA in International Management from The McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University and a MBA from The George Washington University. She is a certified Project Management Professional and serves on the Board of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) Quantico-Potomac Chapter.
Reinhard is focused on creating better business practices via cleaner processes, as well as maintaining and increasing quality results. Reinhard joined MetroStar after 20 years of active duty in the U.S. Air Force (USAF). After retirement, Reinhard continued to serve the USAF as an Operations Analyst, Knowledge Manager, and Technical Director for the HQ USAF Wargaming. He holds a BA in Religious Studies and Philosophy from Southern Methodist University and an Interdisplinary MA from Texas Tech University.
As a retired Colonel of the USMC, Holbert brings her 30 years of public service to help lead MetroStar’s innovative efforts into the USMC and the U.S. Navy. Prior to joining MetroStar, Holbert’s active duty included working in USMC Public Affairs for over 17 years, where she planned and executed internal and external communications campaigns that utilized cutting-edge communicative technologies, including the Defense Task Force of Sexual Assault in the Military Services, Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory, and the Joint Countermine Technology Demonstration, to name a few. Holbert holds a BA in Sociology and Psychology from the University of the State of New York’s Regents College.
McDonald leads MetroStar’s efforts to expand and evolve emerging technologies in key market segments. He joined the team from International Relief & Development, Inc. (IRD) Office of Democracy, Governance, and Community Development. Prior to his work at IRD, McDonald worked for the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), the Public International Law and Policy Group, the Center for Peacebuilding International, and the Office of Senator Barbara Mikulski. He holds a BA in Magazine Journalism from the University of Maryland and JD and MA in International Peace and Conflict Resolution from American University.
