MetroStar Attends MCA&F C4 Awards Dinner


MetroStar is a proud sponsor of the Marine Corps Association and Foundation. As proud supporters, members of our Team attended the 9th Annual Marine Corps Association & Foundation C4 Awards Dinner on Thursday, April 19th, 2012 which celebrated the work for LtCol Kevin M. Shea Memorial Unit Award winner, the General Alfred M. Gray Trophy winner, and the three PFC Herbert Littleton Trophy winners and the winner of the James Hamilton Information Technology Management Civilian Marine Award. The following were recognized for their outstanding achievements in Command, Control, Communications, and Computers: Captain Christopher S. Tsirlis, Tonya M. Vannoy, Gunnery Sergeant Ryan E. Evans, Sergeant Samuel K. Land, Sergeant Zachary R. McClendon, and the Third Battalion, Second Marines Communications Platoon. “It is an to honor and humbling experience to pay tribute to the Marines being awarded for their achievements and those for whom the awards are named,” said MetroStar Facility and Security Manager Mona Lutnes.

“It was an elegant evening, where we recognized the best and the brightest,” said MetroStar VP of Defense Strategy & Operations Michael Belcher. “It was a nice opportunity to engage with government and industry partners.”

In addition to attending, we were able to learn more about an upcoming event, “Heroes Remembered” which will be held on July 27th, 2012 at the Arlington National Cemetery to honor the 59th anniversary of the Korean War Armistice and to pay tribute to our Korean War veterans.

“We’re looking forward to seeing everyone again at Heroes Remembered,” Lutnes added.
