Community Members Interested (COMMITTED) was establish March 12, 2004 as a non-profit and non-stock corporation assisting local governments of Nepal providing health, safety, and welfare to their disadvantaged communities. COMMITTED was involved in projects like the Jogimara Victims Relief Fund (2002) and Research Project on PM10 Dust Particles in Kathmandu (2003-2004) that helped evolve its long term goal of providing for the disadvantaged children of Nepal before it was officially organized.

In 2007, COMMITTED teamed with IT service and innovation provider, MetroStar SystemsTM Headquartered in Reston, Virginia, this privately-held firm is SBA-certified 8(a) specializing in systems and software integration for government clients. MetroStar Systems’ CEO, Ali Reza Manouchehri believes, "A child’s well being begins with education and support. A quality education should be nurtured by support from our families and neighbors; whether they are across the street or on the other side of the world." Seeking to establish a long term relationship with COMMITTED, MetroStar Systems made its first financial contribution to the Kanya Mandir School’s Computer Literacy Project in 2007. The Kanya mandir School is the first all-girls school of Nepal.

In 2008, MetroStar awarded COMMITTED with a $5,000 grant to make basic improvements to Sri Raithane Secondary, a school located in a rural district of Nepal along the Tibetan border. The grant will be used to make improvements to the classroom floors, provide two computers for the administrative office, and initiate extracurricular programs (music and sports) with volunteer input from the local community members replace the wooden panel windows with glass panels and install electrical fixtures for lighting.

MetroStar Systems plans to further its charitable contributions to its neighbors all over the world in hopes of supporting underprivileged communities.
