MetroStar Systems in the Community
MetroStar Systems in the Community
MetroStar Systems is more than a typical company compiled of staff and management. Everyone at MetroStar Systems is a vital asset and element in the success of our company. MetroStar Systems is deeply rooted in and grounded on an entrepreneurial, small business, family-like culture, of which each and every member is a valued component. At MetroStar Systems, we believe in our team as we believe in our community, which is why we are continually looking for new and exciting ways to get involved, and make a difference!
At MetroStar Systems our goal is to invest in the future of our community and to prepare students for potential employment and career awareness. MetroStar Systems provides young students hands on exposure to real world business scenarios that model every day business problems. Our involvement ranges from:
Employee Mentors
This program allows employees to work with individual students to assist them academically and allow the students to learn about the various job positions and roles within the company.
Shadowing
Through our Shadowing program, individual Middle School students visit a local business to “shadow” a business person and learn about the real world work environment.
Internship
Though our internship opportunities, High School and College students spend 50 hours on-site in an intensive experience to further educate themselves on business and professionalism.
"I was a MetroStar Systems intern for over 8 months and always felt like a full-time employee. I managed significant responsibilities and I contributed to real-world, real-time projects. I felt the experience was different because MetroStar took a real interest in developing me as an individual and as a professional. I found the work environment very productive and ideal for professional development. My work with a high profile government client was very fulfilling, and provided me great visibility within MetroStar Systems."
- Sonal Verma, 2008 MetroStar Systems Intern

MetroStar Systems sponsors multiple endeavors to generate revenue for various charitable projects. In support of the non-profit Community Members Interested (CMI) organization, MetroStar Systems has contributed to the CMI Kanya Mandir Rehabilitation Project, focused on the rehabilitation and rebuilding Nepal's very first all-girls school. MetroStar Systems has also participated in the USO's Santa Program. The USO is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing morale, welfare and recreational services to service members and their families.
